Procedures for Hiring Classified Civil Service Positions
Effective February 16 2006

The following is a checklist to be used in filling vacant Classified Civil Service positions. The checklist must be completed for each classified position you are seeking to fill. The vacancy will be posted in Human Resources, on McNeese's website and in every department on the campus. Vacancy notices are to be posted for 14 calendar days.

The Applicant Flow Chart must be completed by the hiring supervisor. The information provided to us is for tracking the number of candidates that have apply for a job with the University. This information will be forwarded to the EEO Office for completing the Affirmative Action Plan as required by the Department of Civil Service. The Pre-Employment Application Form is mandatory and must be completed by the person to be hired.
