McNeese 2016 Homecoming Court Announced

Homecoming King and Queen(October 28, 2016) Aaron Myers, a business administration senior from Elton, and Rosemary Prejean, a biological science senior from Lake Charles, have been named as McNeese State University’s 2016 Homecoming King and Queen.

The royal pair and court was presented during halftime ceremonies of the McNeese Cowboys vs. Abilene Christian Wildcats football game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in Cowboy Stadium.

Other court members are: Stephen Carrier, Sulphur, Hannah Goodwin, Lake Charles, Hannah Smith, Moss Bluff, and Brandon Soileau, Ville Platte, seniors; Keifer Ackley, Sulphur, Natalie Breaux, Lake Charles, Abigail Schmitt, Lake Charles, and Raygan Suarez, Sulphur, juniors; Lauren Breaux, Sulphur, and Thaddeus Richard, Eunice, sophomores; and Jacob Guidry, Lake Charles, and Taylor Soileau, Moss Bluff, freshmen.

Myers is the son of Nolan and Cathy Myers. He is a program coordinator for the Student Life Coalition and president of Kappa Alpha Order. He was also recognized as the 2015 Phi Mu Man of the Year.

Prejean is the daughter of Keith and Shana Prejean. She is a Blue and Gold Peerleader, a member of the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society and a foundation ambassador for Chi Omega sorority.

Carrier (left), son of Mike and Anette Carrier, is an engineering major. He is the 2016 Mr. McNeese and service chairman for the Newman Club.



Goodwin (right), daughter of Moby and Pamela Goodwin, is an engineering major. She is a member of Chi Omega, the McNeese Honors College and the Newman Club.

Smith (left), daughter of Kirk and Kelli Smith, is majoring in accounting and finance. She is a member of Chi Omega and president of Delta Sigma Pi.


Soileau (right), son of Bo and Kathy Soileau, is majoring in health and human performance. He is president of the Newman Club and a member of the Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Society and the Honors College.

Ackley (left), son of Keith and Janice Ackley, is a political science major. He is a Peerleader and treasurer of the Pre-Law and Politics Society.


Breaux (right), daughter of Steven and Susan Breaux, is majoring in agricultural sciences. She is a Peerleader, president of Phi Mu sorority and a member of the Pre-Veterinary Society.


Raygan Suarez, Junior
Abigail Schmitt, Junior

Schmitt (left), daughter of Andrew and Angela Schmitt, is majoring in biological science. She is a Peerleader, a member of the Honors College and the sisterhood director of Chi Omega.


Suarez (right), son of Robert and Tammy Suarez, is a health and human performance major. He is a Peerleader and president of the Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Society.

Breaux (left), daughter of Billy and Julie Breaux, is majoring in radiologic sciences. She is scholarship chair for Alpha Delta Pi sorority and a member of the Newman Club.

Richard (right), son of Thaddeus and Tricia Richard, is a psychology major. He is parliamentarian for the Student Government Association, president of the Greek Unity Board and Alpha Lambda Delta and treasurer for Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.

Soileau (right), daughter of Wayne and Kristy Soileau, is majoring in psychology. She is a member of Phi Mu and a recipient of the 2016 Catholic Daughter’s Scholarship.
