Complete Graduation Application and Surveys in History Department.
Senior - Semester Eight (9-12 Credit Hours)
Education 468S Student Teaching 12-Sep C WE EDUC 440 200 Hours Capstone course. Must take in final semester. This course requires an application, attendance at pre-service seminar, 2.5 GPA, passing scores on both Praxis II exams, C or better in ENGL 101 and 102 plus all content and professional education courses, and permission of the STPES office. Those with TOPS or other scholarships or grants, and those who are veterans, should fill out appropriate paperwork to allow the 9-hour semester to count as full-time. Required by State for Certification. Offered Fall and Spring only.
Total number of hours required for this degree: 120 hours.
Note: Courses in Social Studies disciplines (history, geography, government, economics, sociology, and adolescent psychology) meet State requirements for social studies as well as National Council for the Social Studies and National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education accreditation requirements.
