WHAT TO DO IF GAMBLING IS CAUSING PROBLEMS

Ask for help. Most treatment experts agree that gambling problems tend to become worse over time.

The good news is that research on the treatment of problem gambling has shown that symptoms of problem gambling improve with treatment.

We will be happy to look for ways to help you to decrease the problems associated with gambling. Contact us at the MSU Project for the Treatment of Problem Gambling. All calls are strictly confidential.

TIDBIT:
Is it easier to simply decrease the frequency of gambling excursions or to stop altogether? Many individuals find it more difficult to cut back on gambling and that keeping that goal more frequently leads back to problem gambling than choosing to stop completely. Neither goal is easy, but complete abstinence could prove to be easier.

The Project is neither for nor against gambling.
