This intensive course will equip students with basic investigative skills, provide an understanding of how information can be obtained and used, and prepare students for the following elements of the Louisiana Private Investigator Exam: state and federal investigator laws, undercover investigations, surveillance techniques, interview and statement methods, civil and criminal court record checks, state and federal subpoenas procedures, computer database research, video and still photography techniques, witness and missing person location and courtroom testifying strategies. Persons successfully completing the course, passing the required examination, and wishing to apply to the State Board of Private Investigators for licensure must be sponsored by an approved agency. The required Private Investigator Training Manual, produced by the State Board of Private Investigators, is included in the course registration fee. CEUs: 4.0
