Academic Programs
Louisiana State University at Eunice
Division of Nursing and Allied Health

The Division of Nursing and Allied Health offers associate degree programs in nursing, respiratory care, and radiologic technology.  It also offers a one-year certificate program in diagnostic medical sonography.  These four programs are fully accredited by their respective accreditation agencies.

The Radiologic Technology program is the only program in the Division sponsored by STEM. This is a select admission program.  Students interested in this program should consult the current LSUE Catalog for application and admission requirements and the Division of Nursing and Allied Health.

The Radiologic Technology Program at LSUE is committed to providing students with the opportunity to develop into professionals qualified to perform imaging examinations and accompanying responsibilities.  This will be achieved by educating registry-eligible, entry-level radiographers as professionals who meet the changing needs of the medical imaging community and the patients they serve.

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

  • Possess knowledge and skills of an entry-level radiologic technologist.

  • Meet the needs of the health care community.

  • Demonstrate effective communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

  • Understand the importance of professional growth, values, and ethics in becoming a professional radiographer.

The program limits required clinical and academic involvement for students to not more than 40 hours per week.
