High School Students
Lamar State College - Orange

Lamar State College - Orange is a great campus to start your education or develop professionally. Caring and competent instructors, beautiful facilities, and great student activities make it an unsurpassed choice for students.

Now a more exciting opportunity awaits you. Together with McNeese State University (Lake Charles, LA) we have developed a Community-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) educational initiative to help students excel in the preceding disciplines.

Once accepted in the Com-STEM program, you will spend your first two years (or shorter depending on course loads taken per semester) studying a STEM discipline on our campus. Then, you will have the opportunity to transfer to McNeese State University to pursue a baccalaureate degree. To further benefit LSCO students, McNeese State University will waive the out-of-state part of the tuition for Texas residents who transfer to McNeese under the Com-STEM program.
