Lamar State College - Orange

Dr. Matthew McClure is an Associate Professor of Biology at Lamar State College - Orange.  He graduated from Lamar University with a B.S. degree in Oceanographic Technology/Marine Biology.  He also earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Marine Zoology from Texas A&M University.  Before joining LSC-O, he was a graduate teaching assistant for the Department of Biology at Texas A&M, and was an adjunct instructor for Blinn College in Bryan, TX.  Primary teaching responsibilities include general biology for science majors, introductory biology for non-science majors, environmental science, anatomy & physiology, and nutrition.  He is a member of five professional organizations, and has authored or coauthored eleven scientific publications.  His research interests and published works include systematics, biogeography, and population genetics of marine crustaceans.
