Calcasieu Community Health and Environmental Forum

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality invites the Calcasieu community to a public meeting of the Calcasieu Community Health & Environmental Forum. The topic for this meeting will be Hurricane Preparedness in Calcasieu Parish. All interested parties are invited to attend.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

Date: Tuesday, May 25, 2004
Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Location: Stokes Auditorium in Hardtner Hall on the McNeese campus
(corner of Sale and Common)
Meeting Format: Presentations with Questions & Answers

Presenters for the meeting are:

  1. John Quebodeaux, Director of Acadia Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will speak on “Emergency Preparedness in Small Communities.
  2. Roger Erickson, Forecast Warning Coordinator at the National Weather Service in Lake Charles
  3. Dick Gremillion, Director of the Calcasieu Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will speak on “Evacuation Decision Making for Hurricanes.”

 

 

The Calcasieu Community Environmental & Health Forum is hosted by the Violet H. Howell Institute for the Study of Industry-Community Relations located within the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at McNeese State University.
