 Darrin lived on the university farm as a student majoring in animal science and later was hired as a civil service farm employee.  His progression led to Assistant Farm Manager and then Farm Manager.  Darrin has many responsibilities as he oversees 100 mature cows, consisting of Angus, Beefmaster, Hereford and their representative crosses.  In addition, the farm is home to horses, poultry, and swine.  The MSU farm is 650 acres of improved pasture with working and teaching facilities.  The farm is the site of many Area Field Days, Schools, and Classes.
