The Engineering and Technology Modem

The Engineering and Technology Modem (E&T Modem) is the bi-annual newsletter of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology. It was first published in the Spring of 1991 and was named “The E&T Modem” by Dr. Don Elfert because he envisioned that the newsletter could serve as a “communication device” between the College and its alumni/friends. Even though Dr. Elfert retired from McNeese State University in July 1997, he continued to work on the Modem until recently. The College will be forever grateful for Dr. Elfort’s hard work and dedication all of these years he served as the Modem’s editor.

The E&T Modem is one of the publications that documents our history. Even though we fell short the last few years and we did not publish enough issues, the College is preparing to unveil a Modem under a new format towards the end of the Spring 2007 semester. Beginning with the Fall of 2007, one E&T Modem issue will be published each semester.
