Go to file, Page Setup and change all margins to 1 inch.


When typing the address, tab about 7 times, change font to Arial size 8.

Type physical address, tab again then type phone number.

Hit enter then finish physical address (city, state) then tab again and type email address and cell #.


Hit enter then change font to Arial Black size 26.

Type name. Change font size to 10 and hit enter.


At the bottom there is a drawing toolbar that has a row of shapes; click the straight line.

Draw the line under the name. Once it appears, double click on it and change the weight to 1.25 pt. Enter twice. (if the line moves down, just move the cursor on it until the 4 sided arrow shows up and then drag it up.)


Make sure the font is still Arial Black, then type Objective on the left side. Tab twice, change font to Arial then type objective statement. Enter twice.


Change font to Arial Black then type Education. Tab twice and type date, tab twice then type school, then tab once and space 11 times if it is Lake Charles, LA. If it is not Lake Charles, space over until it reaches the end of the line so all states line up. Do this for each school. Enter twice.


Change font to Arial Black then type Experience. Tab twice and type dates, tab once or twice (to make your text line up with school from above) and type company, then tab once and space 11 times if it is Lake Charles, LA. If it is not Lake Charles, space over until it reaches the end of the line so all states line up. Hit enter once, then tab to line up with the date and change font to Arial Black and type job title. Enter again, tab over to line up under title and start a bulleted list of the job responsibilities (one per bullet). Follow these steps for each job, then enter twice.


For all other headings make sure the font is Arial Black then tab over to line them up and change font back to Arial. If another section needs bullets, enter first then tab over and add bullet (if not, it will list the heading as a bullet). Once the resume is typed, make sure all the tabs line up and that all the states are lined up at the end of the document (as far right as possible).
