STUDENT TECHNICIANS MUST ACCOMPANY THE PORTABLE SYSTEM TO AND DURING ANY RESERVATION.

Logo Podium w/ Built In Microphone - this podium has a built in speaker and microphone that requires no additional equipment for use.  It has a nice wood finish and features the University logo, only available for use in the Old Ranch or LaJeunesse rooms.

(Read below for an explanation of the equipment)

LCD TV Screens - to reserve, indicate the reason for usage on the Meeting Room Request Form. Remote controls are not issued! Union staff will set TVs prior to your use. A VGA cord is needed to project video and a 3.5mm audio cable is needed to project audio (both available).

Stereo/Speaker Systems - to reserve, use must be indicated on the Technical Equipment Reservation Form. Union staff will set TVs prior to your use. The Old Ranch and Parra Ballroom are equipped with built-in sound in which you may input audio devices, additional microphones, and instruments (when feasible). A student technician is required to use this equipment.

Stage Lighting - to reserve, use must be indicated on the Technical Equipment Reservation Form. The Old Ranch has built-in stage lighting that can be used for your event. A student technician is required to use this equipment.

Drop Down Projection Screen & Projector (Old Ranch, Parra Ballroom, & LaJeunesse Room) - to reserve, use must be indicated on the Technical Equipment Reservation Form. A VGA cord is needed to project video (not provided).

Digital Posting

Posting requests must be received from a recognized student organization or must be a college/ departmental message for MSU students. All non university personnel should request posting through the Office of Public Information and Communications at (337) 475-5635.

Axis TV System - Currently there are 20+ LCD or Plasma monitors on campus that display updated announcements, event information, and photos from campus.

Campus Life Tab (MSU Portal) - Announcements and event information can be uploaded to the "Campus Life" tab on the portal.

Wireless Internet


Student using WIFI
Wireless Internet service is available free of charge for McNeese students, faculty/staff and campus visitors.  Instructions are listed below.  If you have any trouble logging in contact the Information Technology office at (337)475-5994.

Instructions for MSU Students and Faculty/Staff

  1. Go to the Wireless Network Connection option on your computer
  2. Select MSU_Air
  3. Once you access the web you will be prompted to enter a login and password
  4. The login is the same as your portal login and the password is the same as your portal password

Instructions for Campus Visitors

  1. Go to the Wireless Network Connection option on your computer
  2. Select MSU_Guest
  3. Once you access the web you will be prompted to enter a login and password
The visitor login is mcneese and the visitor password is cowboys .
