Associate Dean of Campus Life - Chris Thomas, Ed. D
Bio
Dr. Thomas grew up in southeast Texas and completed his undergraduate education at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. He holds a master’s degree from Texas State University-San Marcos and a doctorate in higher education from the University of North Texas. Diverse in his educational and professional background, Dr. Thomas traveled and studied internationally before beginning his doctoral studies in conjunction with a five year stint with the University of North Texas Union Programs Office. Dr. Thomas is proud to be a husband and father and has almost ten years professional experience in student affairs.
Job Duties
Reporting to the Dean of Student Services, Dr. Thomas oversees several programs and initiatives that directly impact the student learning and co-curricular experience and directly supervises the student activities coordinator and the Union administration coordinator. Student Union operations, Student Union Board, Greek life, and administrative oversight of student organizations generally are the major focal points of Dr. Thomas’ daily work. Direct interaction and mentoring with campus student leaders is a major contribution Dr. Thomas attempts to make to the culture of the McNeese learning community. In addition to his leadership over student life programs and activities, Dr. Thomas is also actively involved in numerous University committees including Traditions, Assessment, Student Organizations, and Campus Appearance.

Coordinator of Student Activities - Mr. Kedrick Nicholas
Bio
Kedrick is originally from New Orleans, LA, but has been a resident of Lake Charles since August 2000, when he first attended McNeese State University as a scholarship football player. During his 5 years of athletics Kedrick earned a Bachelor of General Studies then continued onto graduate school at McNeese State. As a graduate student, Kedrick served as a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Services and President of the Student Union Board for two consecutive years. After receiving a Master of Science in Instructional Technology May 2007, Kedrick became a full-time employee in the Office of Financial Aid before soon transferring back to the Student Services Department as Coordinator of Student Activities.
Job Duties
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Services (Campus Life), Kedrick oversees, advises, and promotes leadership within the Student Union Board (programming board) as well as the National Pan-Hellenic Council (council of historically African American fraternities and sororities). He is the official liaison between the university and each group. Kedrick also assists the Associate Dean of Campus life with Union operations, student organizations, and student life oversight. He also serves as the technology administrator for the Student Affairs Division. It is also his responsibility to collaborate with peer professionals regarding student life initiatives and developments at comparable colleges/universities. Kedrick also serves on several University committees.

Administrative Assistant - Ms. Phyllis Prejean
Bio
An employee of McNeese since December 2006, she lives in Jennings with husband Bob, who is also employed with McNeese State University. They have 2 married daughters.
Job Duties
Phyllis is responsible for providing administrative support to the Office of Student Services, Student Union Board, Student Government Association and other recognized student groups, as well as coordinates use of Student Union facilities for meetings, programs, banquets, classes, concerts, summer camp programs and other function.
