McNeese Panhellenic Association

Panhellenic Recruitment Application 2009!
The Panhellenic Association unites its members, regardless of individual affiliation. Each member is responsible for promoting Greek life, scholarship, philanthropy, leadership, and campus involvement amongst sorority members. Academics are a core belief and value for all sorority women at McNeese State University. Consistently, the Panhellenic grade point average is higher than the all-woman average at McNeese.

Formal Recruitment:
Each fall the three NPC sororities conduct a Formal Recruitment process, within the first few weeks of the beginning of the semester. Formal Recruitment is four consecutive days giving potential new members the chance to view and meet women from all three sororities. On the final day of the process “bids” are given out to the potential new members by each individual sorority. Membership in a sorority is voluntary and is the result of mutual selection. The dates for Fall 2009 Formal Recruitment are below:

The Impact of Sorority Life
During college an NPC sorority offers you personal and professional support within a smaller group of friends in a larger university environment. With this support your individual, personal, and leadership development is fostered through attending seminars as well as holding officer and committee positions within the chapter.
Membership in an NPC sorority enhances your academic achievement by providing several forms of support to assist you, from study resources to quiet study areas. After your undergraduate years you will have lifelong friendships as well as continued personal and professional support through alumnae activities and networking programs. You are also encouraged to participate in community service through philanthropic activities and continue a pattern of lifelong service to others.
