Students visit booths represented by organizations for Howdy Rowdy Week

Fun, food and some facts are dished up to students returning to the McNeese State University campus for the fall semester during Howdy Rowdy Week set for Aug. 17-19.

Student organizations, local businesses and community service agencies welcome the students back to classes at this annual event, according to Dr. Chris Thomas, associate dean and director of student union and student activities.

Events are held from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Student Union Annex (New Ranch).  Scheduled activities are as follows:

Wednesday, Aug. 17--"Get Connected & Welcome Back Wednesday"
Academic Affairs & the Office of Student Services will host information tables in the New Ranch, and students are encouraged to drop by for a crash course in all that McNeese has to offer. The Student Union Board will sponsor a welcome back party complete with novelties, food, and of course, good music.
 
Thursday, Aug. 18--"SGA Student Organizations Fair"
The Student Government Association is hosting its annual student organizations fair. There are over 120 recognized student organizations at McNeese.
 
Friday, Aug. 19--"Community Day"
Local businesses and community service agencies will be in the New Ranch with freebies and information about what is available in this area.
