Online Courses

Students taking online courses will be utilizing McNeese's Blackboard Platform. Instructors delivering courses via the Internet will provide their students with an online orientation or a face-to-face orientation session on McNeese's Campus on how to use Blackboard. Students need to be self-motivated with good study and time management skills: they need to be computer literate, be goal oriented, capable of learning on their own through reading, research, and assignments, be able to save and manage files on their computer, know how to send and open e-mail attachments, check e-mail, access the Internet, and participate in their online course at least 3-5 times per week.

First-Time Online Students

Blackboard is the course management system for all McNeese online courses. Blackboard student orientation is recommended for all students taking online courses for the first time. It's also beneficial if you want to refresh your memory about taking an online course.
