Mission
The Clinical Applied Behavior Analysis Academy (CABAA) is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals who face behavioral challenges, including the behavioral challenges associated with developmental disabilities, ADHD, and traumatic brain injury. CABAA provides treatment and consultation services, based on the science of applied behavior analysis, to individuals, families, schools, and community agencies in Southwest Louisiana. As part of the Department of Psychology, CABAA follows a scientist-practitioner model and serves the training site for students completing the Master of Arts Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (BACB Approved). The CABAA also supports faculty research designed to extend the knowledge base of behavioral science. In treatment, training, or research, the focus is always on the needs of the individual client and his or her family, emphasizing the progressive development, refinement, and elaboration of meaningful skills and abilities.
