Dr. Musa
Dr. Musa Essayyad, Dean, College of Business
Dean of the College of Business and Professor of Finance, M.A. and Ph.D. in finance, University of Alabama. He held diverse academic, business and governmental positions in the U.S., U.K., Switzerland, Russia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. He has held endowed chair professorships for 24 years, and taught courses in corporate finance, investment management, international finance, and oil and gas finance. Dr. Essayyad has worked for corporations and intergovernmental organizations including the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Getty Oil Company, OPEC, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

Dr. Burckel
Dr. Daryl Burckel
Professor of Accounting, B.S., M.B.A., McNeese State University; (C.P.A.), (C.V.A.). He was on faculty from 86-89 and returned to McNeese State University in 1991. He earned his D.B.A. in Accounting from Mississippi State University. Dr. Burckel has authored numerous refereed journal articles and commendable professional papers. He is very active in economic development consulting. Dr. Burckel teaches "Federal Taxes and Management Decisions." He held the 2012-2013 Thelma and Ray Dingler's Endowed Professorship.

Dr. Caples
Dr. Stephen Caples
Professor of Finance, B.A., Lake Superior State College; M.B.A., Louisiana Tech University; Ph.D., University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Caples began at McNeese in 1987 and currently holds the rank of Professor of Finance. Dr. Caples earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Arlington. He published numerous articles specializing in finance and real estate in reputed journals including numerous conference presentations. He is actively involved in consulting projects in forensic finance. Dr. Caples teaches "Financial Management Policies." He holds the 2014 Louisiana Real Estate Commission Endowed Professorship.

Dr. William Galose
Dr. William Galose joined the College of Business in 2013 as an Instructor of Economics. He received his B.A. in Chemistry and Philosophy from Youngstown State University, Ohio, J.D. from the University of Southern Californian, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oregon. He teaches microeconomics, macroeconomics, and international trade. His interdisciplinary research interests include environmental economics, consumer economics, and legal issues.

Dr. Jens
Dr. Bill Jens
Dr. Jens joined McNeese in 2010 as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. He received his PhD in Finance from the University of Central Florida. He has extensive business background as a former Fortune 500 Vice-President, CFO of a NASDAQ listed company, divisional president and board member. He has many publications and conference presentations from a diverse range of topics including banking, capital structure, and tax issues. He teaches "Accounting Information for Decision Making" and "Corporate Reporting and Analysis". Dr. Jens holds the 2014 Arthur Hollins Endowed Professorship. He enjoys playing golf and spending time on his boat in Florida.

Dr. Konou
Dr. C. Martin Konou
Dr. Konou started at McNeese in August 2013 as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics. He received his Ph.D.in Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. His research interests include macroeconomics and growth theory, applied econometrics, international economics, regional and development economics, applied microeconomics, and computational economics. He presented his research papers at both national and international conferences and had published in peer-reviewed academic journals. He teaches undergraduate macroeconomics and microeconomics, as well as MBA level courses such as economic analysis and managerial economics.

Dr. Mishra
Dr. Banamber Mishra
Professor of Finance, B.A., Ravenshaw College, India; M.S., Jawaharlal Nehru University; M.A., and  Ph.D., University of Alabama.  Dr. Mishra began at McNeese in 1987.  He has published a number of articles in refereed economics, finance and business journals including presentations of scholarly papers in professional conferences.  He teaches "Fundamentals of Financial Management" and "Investment and Security Analysis." He also holds the 2014 Calcasieu Parish Development Board Professorship for Industrial and Economic Development in the College of Business.

Dr. Rahman
Dr. Matiur Rahman
Director of the M.B.A. Program, B.A., M.A., Dhaka University; M.A., Boston University; M.A., Southern Methodist University. Dr. Rahman started at McNeese in 1989 and holds the rank of Professor of Finance. He earned his Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University. He is a prolific author and has been published widely in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals. He was Deputy Director of Research at the Central Bank and worked as advisor to Japan External Trade Organization in Bangladesh. He also worked briefly at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund under the Ford Foundation Scholarship program. He teaches primarily "International Business", "Money and Banking" and "International Financial Management" and holds the 2014 JP Morgan Chase Endowed Professorship.

Dr. Swindle
Dr. Bruce Swindle
Professor of Accounting, received B.S. and M.B.A. from Northeast Louisiana University, and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. Dr. Swindle is a CPA and began at McNeese in 1980. Dr. Swindle has been an co-author and presenter of numerous articles in peer-review academic and professional journals. He was the first College of Business Pinnacle Professor. He teaches "Accounting Information for Decision-making" and "Financial Accounting Disclosures." He held an endowed professorship in 2012-13 in the College of Business. Dr. Swindle is always up for a good game of golf.

Dr. Michael Toerner
Dr. Toerner joined McNeese College of Business in 2013 as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Accounting from Louisiana State University. His areas of teaching are Financial Accounting and Income Tax. His research interests are related to teaching pedagogy in accounting.

James Watts

Mr. James Watts
Associate Professor of Accounting, B.S., M.S., Louisiana State University. (C.P.A.) .Married to Olga Dupuis Watts and they have one son (J.R.Watts). Graduated from South Cameron High School in 1961. He has been a member of Delta Sigma Pi since 1969 and serves as Student Advisor. Mr. Watts has been at McNeese 45 years, Official Scorer for McNeese Basketball 44 years. Hobbies include: Golf, reading, movies, and travel.

Dr. Adrian

Dr. Mitchell Adrian
Professor of Management, B.S., McNeese State University; M.B.A., Midwestern State University, and D.B.A. in Management, Mississippi State University. He joined McNeese in 2007 as the Dean of The College of Business until 2011. Prior to joining McNeese, he was with Longwood University as Associate Professor of Management and Department Head from 1996 through 2006. He has published quite extensively in various refereed business journals and proceedings. He is active in building community relations and forming business alliances. Dr. Adrian holds the 2014 JP Morgan Chase Bank Endowed Professorship in the College of Business.

Dr. Chen

Dr. Jim (Jiun-Shiu) Chen
Assistant Professor of Management, B.I.T., Soochow University, Taiwan; M.B.A., University of Rhode Island, and Ph.d. from the University of Memphis. He joined McNeese in 2006 and currently holds the rank of Associate Professor of Management. His research interests include host country national commitment, the impact of international conflict on international management, and top management team. Dr. Chen teaches "Leadership", "Managing Diverse Workplace", "Management concept and practice", "Issues in Global Business", and "Organizational Behavior". Dr. Chen enjoys learning about different backgrounds from his students. He holds the JP Morgan Chase Bank Professorship in Business.

Dr. Susie S. Cox, SPHR
Associate Professor of Management, B.S., M.B.A. and D.B.A., Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Cox began at McNeese in 2008. Her research interests include forgiveness in the workplace and innovative human resource practices. Dr. Cox teaches "Management Theory and Organizational Behavior", "Human Resource Management" and "Organizational Behavior". She holds the 2014 Capital One Bank Endowed Professorship.

Mellon
Mr. Patrick Mellon
Mr. Patrick Mellon joined McNeese College of Business in August 2014 as an Instructor of Management.  He received his B.S. in economics and MBA from University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  He taught many different management courses at different colleges and universities, using both online and face to face formats.

Dr. Phelps

Dr. Lonnie Phelps
Professor of Management, B.S.B.A., Henderson State College, M.B.A., Arkansas State, and DBA in Management from Louisiana Tech University He joined McNeese in 1973. His research interests include business ethics, corporate social responsibility and work-life balance issues. He currently enjoys teaching the Introduction to Business course and the Business Ethics/Corporate Social Responsibility course. He has been Department Head of the Management, Marketing and Business Administration Department for more than fifteen years. His hobbies are running, going to church, and caring for his two yorkies.

Dr. Charles Rader
Dr. Rader began at McNeese in 1987. Associate Professor of Marketing, B.B.A. and M.B.A., University of New Mexico; and D.B.A., University of Memphis. Dr. Rader began at McNeese in 1987. He has authored and co-authored numerous papers and articles. He is a frequent presenter of his work at professional and academic conferences. Dr. Rader teaches "Marketing Concepts" and "Marketing Management". He held the 2012-13 McElveen Insurance Agency Endowed Professorship. Dr. Rader enjoys cars and motorcycles.

Dr. Shin

Dr. Hyunju Shin
Dr. Shin received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Alabama and her B.A. in Business Administration and English Language & Literature from Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea. Her current research interests include relationship management in retailing and services, brand crisis management, and social media marketing. She has published in peer-reviewed academic journals and presented her work in U.S. and international conferences. Dr. Shin teaches "Marketing Principles", "Personal Selling", and "E-Commerce Marketing" at McNeese. She holds the 2014 Morgan Chase Bank Professorship in Business.

Dr Stevens

Dr. Jeffery Stevens
Dr. Jeffery A. Stevens has joined McNeese College of Business in August 2014 as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management/Entrepreneurship. He received his B.A. in history from the University of Texas at San Antonio, M.A. in management and human resources development from Webster University, and Ph.D. in human resource development from Texas A&M University, College Station. He received his post doctorate AACSB Bridge certificate from the University of Florida in 2014. His teaching and research interests are entrepreneurship and innovation.

Dr. Totten

Dr. Jeffrey W. Totten
Associate Professor of Marketing, B.S., M.B.A., Northwestern State University. Dr. Totten began at McNeese in 2006. He earned his DBA in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University in 1983 and is a Professional Certified Marketer since 1991. He has taught at several U.S. colleges and universities. His research interests include fast food nutrition, students' eating behaviors, students' usage of mobile phones and body art, and case writing, among others. He has published extensively in several refereed professional business journals. He teaches "Marketing Concepts". Dr. Totten was awarded the Pinnacle award in 2013.

Dr. Turpin

Dr. Lonnie Turpin
Dr. Turpin received his doctorate in Industrial Engineering with specialties in Operations Research and Applied Statistics from Lamar University. He currently holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Management. His research interests focus on logic-based mathematical modeling applications in Operations Research, and its integration with Management Analytics and Operations Management. Dr. Turpin teaches Operations Management & Quantitative Methods, Analytical Tools for Business Decisions, and Applied Business Statistics here at McNeese. He was awarded the Teacher of the Year award in 2014.
