I would like to welcome you to the College of Business at McNeese State University. We are located in the beautiful city of Lake Charles, Southwest Louisiana. We have been proudly graduating for decades many outstanding leaders in accounting, finance, marketing, management and business administration. Our College constituents of Southwest Louisiana are expected to witness an economic bonanza in the next seven years. Multinational companies are investing about $42 billion in capital investments in liquefied natural gas projects. The direct investment and spinoff effect are expected to create many thousand direct and indirect jobs in LNG sector and other industries including healthcare, real estate, banking, and hospitality (casinos, hotels, restaurants, and festivals).
All our undergraduate degrees in accounting, finance, management, marketing, and business administration, and Master of Business Administration degree have been accredited by AACSB-International for decades, signifying quality and rigor. Only about 5% of all business schools in the world and 30% of US business schools are AACSB accredited.
We have been adopting the best business education practices that are based on innovative regional and international partnerships, interactive student learning, impactful research, and active community engagement. We are starting joint intra-university programs with other colleges at McNeese that include Colleges of Science, College of Liberal Arts, and Engineering. The College of Business offers face-to-face, online, and blended formats of instruction. Our students are benefiting from building up their experiential learning through well thought out corporate internship program, and from the many student organizations we have on campus. The business community, through our Corporate Advisory Council, is actively engaged in providing guidance to our College and providing support to ensure quality of our academic programs and initiatives.
We invite you to join our students, faculty, and business community to benefit from the many facilities and services being provided through by the unique infrastructure collectively build by our community. We invite you to find out about the Southwest Louisiana Entrepreneurial and Economic Development Center (SEED), McNeese's Small Business Development Center, H.C.
