History
The McNeese Autism Program (MAP) was founded by the Department of Psychology to provide behavioral intervention services to persons with developmental delays and to provide a university-based site for graduate level students to gain applied experience and conduct research in the field of behavior analysis. MAP opened its doors and began providing services June 2, 2008. In the fall of 2008, theBehavior Analyst Certification Board approved the ABA concentration course sequence taken by graduate students. The scope and number of services contintues to broaden and grow.
 
McNeese State University and the Department of Psychology are committed to continuing to meet the needs of persons in Southwest Louisiana needing individualized behavioral services as well as providing an examplary training site for future behavior analysts.
