Gordon Bourland, Ph.D., BCBA
Dr. Bourland is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with more than 25 years of experience developing interventions for problematic behaviors. He received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Texas and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine-John F. Kennedy Institute in Pediatric Psychology. During his career, Dr.Bourland has served as the Director of Behavioral Services for the Fort Worth State School; as Chief Psychologist for the Dallas County Mental Health/Mental Retardation Center; and as the Director of Psychology for the Colin Anderson Center in St. Mary's West Virginia. For the last ten years Dr. Bourland has worked to improve the lives of children with autism as a Behavioral Consultant with Trinity Behavioral Associates. In this role he has designed and implemented targreted behavioral interventions for problematic behaviors in a wide variety of settings including agencies, classrooms, and home-based interventions. Dr. Bourland has more than 20 publications in professional journals including the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, and is the current President of the Texas Association for Behavior Anlaysis.
