2017 MAP Independence Conference

The 2017 Independence in Autism Conference, presented by McNeese Autism Program, will be held July 28th in Baker Auditorium, Farrar Hall, on the campus of McNeese State University.
This event is designed to provide therapy services professionals, education professionals, family members, and other caretakers with tools and resources that will assist them in helping foster independent living skills for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental and intellectual challenges.

Information on speakers will be updated and finalized soon! Some topics that will be covered will be ethics in ABA, supervision in ABA, severe problem behavior in school settings, a parent panel for discussion and questions, and much more!

Event Parking & Location

This event will be held in Baker Auditorium, on the campus of McNeese State University. Baker Auditorium is located on the first floor of Farrar Hall, which is listed as building #8 on the campus map, found here:

On July 28th, public parking will be available anywhere on campus, with the exception of the following locations: Please do not park in handicapped designated areas (without proper tags), any fire lanes, any individually reserved spaces (which will be noted with a sign), or in spaces that are not designed for parking vehicles, such as grass areas. We ask that you please park in any student or faculty/staff parking areas.

Registration

There is a $25 for registration only. Continuing Education Credits/Units will be available through the Applied Behavior Analysis Track of the Conference. There will be 6.5 continuing education units available for $65.  Questions may be submitted by email to MAP@McNeese.edu
