Governor's Program Productions Set at McNeese

The Governor's Program for Gifted Children - a seven-week summer residential program on the McNeese State University campus - will present two theatre productions and a concert July 24-27 as part of its closing activities.

Performances are free and will be held in the Shearman Fine Arts Performing Arts Theatre. The schedule is as follows:

•    "The Frogs," a musical production - 7 p.m., Wednesday-Friday
•    "Wait Until Dark," drama production - 3 p.m., Thursday-Friday
•    Chorus Concert - 3 p.m., Saturday

The Governor's Program was founded in 1959 on campus as a summer arts and humanities program for gifted students in Louisiana and is the oldest and most comprehensive enrichment program for students in grades 6-10 in the state.
