Orientation
is
designed
primarily
for
first-time
freshmen
and
is
scheduled
as a
one
day
workshop
prior
to
the
start
of
the
semester
with
a
lab
held
during
the
semester.
Orientation
101
is a
one-hour
course
and
is
required
for
graduation.
The
course
covers
programs
and
policies
of
the
University
which
will
assist
freshmen
in
adapting
to
the
University
environment
and
in
becoming
a
part
of
the
University
community.
Orientation
101
is
scheduled
before
late
registration
in
the
Fall,
Spring,
and
Summer
semesters.
It
begins
at
8:00
a.m.
and
ends
at
4:00
p.m.
A
written
exam
is
required
and
completion
of
lab
work
during
the
semester
is
used
to
determine
the
final
grade.
Four
First
Time
Freshmen
Orientation
and
Registration
Conferences
are
scheduled
for
the
Fall
semester.
These
conferences
are
scheduled
in
late
May,
June,
and
mid
July.
Information
and
application
for
attendance
at
one
of
the
four
conferences
is
included
with
the
comprehensive
packet
application
for
admission
to
the
University.
Students
will
be
expected
to
either
pay
the
$30
orientation
fee
in
advance,
or
submit
a
check
or
money
order
for
the
fee
the
day
of
the
orientation.
