Where are you from?
Lake Charles, La.

How long have you been working in higher education?
I have been working in higher education for the last four years. I started out in the Financial Aid Office as a student worker at McNeese. After a year, I moved to the Admissions Office where I have worked for three years now. I liked this office so much that once a full-time position became available I applied…. and was hired!

Where did you go to college? What did you study and why?
I went to McNeese State University and majored criminal justice, a degree I found to be very interesting. I really enjoyed doing research on particular laws and past criminals.

What is your favorite McNeese tradition?
Clapping and swaying to Joli Blon at the football games!

While in college what organizations were you involved in and why?
While I was in college I was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, a student organization that enabled me to branch out of my comfort zone and find out who I really was. It was a great way to meet new people on campus.

What advice would you give to prospective students planning a visit to McNeese?
Come with an open mind. Our university has so many things to offer! We have over 120 different student organizations, both on and off campus! Being part of the Greek life at McNeese made my experience here worthwhile.
