Where are you from?
Lake Charles, La.

How long have you been working in higher education?
I have been working in higher education for five years. I started as an undergraduate recruiter and eventually moved to a graduate recruiter.

What is your favorite area on campus?
My favorite area on campus is the Quad. It's in the middle of campus where events are put on by different student organizations. On a beautiful day it's nice to sit on a bench under the trees and read.

Where did you go to college? What did you study and why?
I attended McNeese State University and majored in mass communication.  I enjoy meeting new people and getting involved with the community, and I wanted to have a career that allowed me to do these things. I felt mass communication would allow me to accomplish my long-term goals.

What is your favorite McNeese tradition?
One of my favorite McNeese traditions is the football homecoming parade. It is on the Thursday night of Homecoming week prior to the homecoming game and ends with a big pep rally and fireworks display. The whole community gets involved and the band, Cowgirl Kickers and cheerleaders perform. It's an exciting night.

While in college what organizations were you involved in and why?
While I was attending McNeese I was a Cowgirl Kicker. I danced at Glenda Moss for 10 years.  When I came to college I wanted to be involved in some type of activity so I decided to try out for the dance line team. It was an awesome experience where I met lots of new friend and I'm still best friends with some of them today.
